WINSTON-SALEM STATE UNIVERSITY POLICE DEPARTMENT
PATROL OFFICER: AUGUST 2018 - PRESENT
"As a law enforcement officer on a collegiate campus, I have engaged in community policing programs, safe zone training and preventative safety measures. I completed Crisis Intervention Team training early in my career. Through this training provides a foundation that promotes solutions to assist individuals with mental illnesses or addictions. These critical experiences and training are important in the way they allow for mental health advocacy and education. I am determined to be visible and active in the community before I am called in any official capacity. I am fully aware of the damaged relationship between law enforcement and communities nationwide. Even though, I am challenged but not deterred to grow into an officer my community can trust to uphold my duties and provoke positive change."
